  1. Get coordinates from Meraki
    • Go to settings -> plugins and add a new plugin with module "Location tracking"
    • Choose Meraki as vendor
    • Enter a random secret
    • Enter the Meraki validor (go to the Meraki dashboard -> Network-wide -> General -> CMX section and copy the validator)
    • Press save
    • Go to the Meraki CMX settings (go to the Meraki dashboard -> Network-wide -> General -> CMX section)
    • Paste the POST URL and secret configured in the plugin and press validate
    • You can now use the created plugin in the location tracking setup
    It's important that you upload the same floor plans on the captive.net platform that were used during the location tracking setup on the Meraki dashboard. Also make sure that the name given to a floor plan matches the name in the Meraki dashboard.

  2. Get coordinates from Ruckus SPoT
    • Go to settings -> plugins and add a new plugin with module "Location tracking"
    • Choose Ruckus as vendor
    • Go to the Ruckus SPoT -> accounts and press details of one of the existing accounts
    • Username: paste the API key from the ruckus account
    • Password: enter the password of the ruckus account
    • URL: enter the public IP of the Ruckus SPoT with the correct port (example: http://xx.xx.xx.xx:8443)
    • Venue ID: enter the venue ID you configured in SPoT
    • You can now use the created plugin in the location tracking setup
    It's important that you upload the same floor plans on the captive.net platform that were used during the location tracking setup on the SPoT dashboard. Also make sure that the floor number of the captive.net map matches the floor number of the map in SPoT.
